Downloading one Pinterest video is straightforward: copy the pin URL, paste it into a downloader and save the MP4. Doing that 40 times is not a workflow; it is repetitive clerical work with plenty of opportunities to skip a pin or download the same clip twice.
To bulk download Pinterest videos, work from the board rather than from individual pin links. PinBoardSaver's Chrome extension scans the open board, shows the media it finds and lets you package selected items into one download.
When bulk download is the better option
Use a bulk workflow when a board contains more videos than you can comfortably track by hand, when videos and images need to stay together, or when you are creating an offline research archive. It is particularly useful for motion references, recipe collections, exercise demonstrations, social campaign research and animation inspiration.
For a single clip, the regular Pinterest video downloader is quicker and does not require a board export.
How to download multiple Pinterest videos at once
1. Open the right board
Sign in to Pinterest if necessary and navigate to the actual board page. If you only need one topic inside a large board, open its section first. Confirm that the videos play and that you have access to all the content you expect to download.
2. Scan it with PinBoardSaver
Click the extension in Chrome and start extraction. Large boards may load gradually, so leave the tab open while pins are collected. The result can include images, GIFs and videos; this is useful when motion and still references belong to the same project.
3. Pick the video pins
The extension groups a board by its sections, not by media type, so choose the clips one of two ways. Use Select Pins Manually to tick pins directly on the Pinterest page, where video pins carry Pinterest's own play badge. Or scan the whole board, download it and keep the MP4 files when you sort the extracted folder.
Either way, curating before or immediately after the download creates a smaller archive and saves time later.
4. Download the batch
Start the ZIP download. Keep the browser open until it finishes, especially for a board with many or long videos. Extract the archive into a named project folder and play a few files to confirm that the batch completed correctly.

Why some board pins do not become MP4 files
Not everything that moves in the feed is necessarily a standard video pin. Some content may be an animated GIF, a carousel, an embedded preview or an item that has since become unavailable. Private or restricted pins may also be inaccessible outside the signed-in context.
Compare the extracted count with the usable videos you can see, not simply with the board's total pin count. A board of 100 pins might contain 15 videos, 80 still images and five unavailable items.
Keep the download organized
Use one folder per source board and include the date in its name when the collection is time-sensitive. If you are studying a campaign or trend, keep a small text file containing the board URL, the purpose of the research and any source links you expect to cite.
Do not rename every file before deciding which clips matter. Make a “shortlist” folder, move the useful examples into it and give only those files descriptive names. The untouched archive can remain as a reference copy.
If still images are the main material, read how to download Pinterest images. The distinction matters because image dimensions, transparency and GIF animation require different checks from MP4 video.
Quality, storage and playback
Bulk video downloads can use much more storage than an image board. Check the available disk space before starting a large batch. The extension saves the media version available from Pinterest; it cannot turn a low-resolution upload into true HD or 4K.
MP4 plays almost everywhere, but an older editing program may dislike a particular codec inside the file. If a video plays in the browser but not in your editor, create a converted working copy with a trusted media tool and keep the original download unchanged.
Copyright still applies to a batch
The convenience of downloading 50 files does not create permission to republish them. Treat the collection as reference material unless you have verified a licence or received approval from the rights holder. Follow important pins back to their original sources and preserve enough information to identify the creators.
This is especially important in commercial research. Internal comparison and public reuse are not the same activity. If a clip will appear in an advertisement, presentation distributed outside your team, social post or paid product, clear the rights first.
The shortest reliable process
Open the board, scan once, filter the results, download one ZIP and check the archive. That replaces dozens of repeated copy-and-paste actions while leaving the editorial decision—what is actually worth keeping—with you.
When you only need one clip, use the single-video tool. When the board itself is the unit you want to preserve, use PinBoardSaver for Chrome and download the collection as a batch.
