How to Bulk Download Pinterest Videos from a Board

If your Pinterest board holds dozens of video references, you can download them together instead of copying each pin link into a downloader.

To bulk download Pinterest videos, work from the board rather than from individual pin links. PinBoardSaver's Pinterest board downloader is a Chrome extension that reads the board you have open and packs its pins, video pins included, into one ZIP. It has no "videos only" switch, so this guide also covers the two ways to keep a download focused on your clips.

For a single clip, the regular Pinterest video downloader is quicker and does not require a board export.

How to download multiple Pinterest videos at once

1. Open your board in Chrome. Sign in to Pinterest and open the board that holds the videos. The board page or any of its section pages will do: the extension lists the sections itself, so there is no need to open one first.
2. Click the PinBoardSaver icon in the Chrome toolbar. A panel opens with the board's name, its "Board pins" and "Board sections" counts, and a checklist: "All Pins" (ticked by default) and, when the board has sections, "All Sections", "Not in a section" and every section by name, each with its pin count.
3. Choose what goes into the ZIP. Leave "All Pins" ticked to take the whole board, or untick it and tick only the sections where your clips live. The extension groups a board by its sections, not by media type, so there is no videos-only checkbox. The "Pins to download" line updates as you tick and untick.
4. Click "Start Download" and save the archive. Keep the tab open while the progress counter runs. When the screen changes to "ZIP Ready!", check the "Pins", "Size" and "Failed" numbers, then click "Download to Device" to save the ZIP.

On the free plan one download holds up to 20 pins: "Start Download" takes the first 20 pins of your selection, while "Select Pins Manually" lets you choose which 20. Premium removes the cap.

Picking individual video pins

If the clips are scattered across a mixed board, click "Select Pins Manually", the button under "Start Download". The panel closes and every pin on the board page gets a circle in its top-right corner. Click the pins you want: each one is numbered in the order you pick it, and more pins become selectable as you scroll. Sponsored pins are marked "Ad" and cannot be selected. The extension does not label media types; video pins are usually the ones where Pinterest shows a running time on the thumbnail. Then click "Download" in the bar at the bottom of the page, and "Download to Device" on the "ZIP Ready!" screen.

One caveat is specific to this mode: the extension recognizes a video pin by the player Pinterest loads into its thumbnail. If that player has not loaded, or the MP4 cannot be fetched, the pin's cover image is saved instead, so check the file extensions afterwards. For a board that is mostly video, "Start Download" is more dependable, because it reads each pin's media type from Pinterest's board data rather than from the page.

What is inside the ZIP

"Start Download" produces an archive named <board name>_pinterest_board.zip. Inside you will find:

• 0_info.txt in the root, with the board name, board URL, owner, download date and the pin count for each section;
• the pins that are not in any section, also in the root;
• one folder per section, named after the section.

Every file is named {number}_{pin name}_{pin ID}.{extension}, and the numbering restarts in each folder. Two things follow. Sort the extracted folder by file type and the .mp4 files line up together, the quickest way to separate clips from stills. And the pin ID is a route back to the source: open https://www.pinterest.com/pin/<pin ID>/ to see the original pin.

A manual selection produces a flat pinterest_pins_<date>.zip instead. Its info.txt lists the title and ID of every pin you picked, and the files are numbered in the order you selected them.

0_info.txt already records the board URL and the date, so you do not need separate notes. Rather than renaming everything, copy the clips that matter into a "shortlist" folder and leave the extracted archive untouched as the reference copy. More on this in how to organize Pinterest downloads.

Which video file gets saved

For a standard video pin the extension asks for Pinterest's 720p MP4 first, then 480p, then 360p, and saves the first one that exists. It does not look for anything above 720p, and it cannot turn a low-resolution upload into HD or 4K. For a multi-page pin (the format Pinterest used to call an Idea Pin), only the video on the first page is saved.

Video files are much larger than images, and the ZIP is assembled inside the browser tab before you save it. Check your disk space, keep the tab open until "ZIP Ready!" appears, and if a very large board stalls, run it one section at a time. The "Stop" button ends a download early and still gives you a ZIP of whatever was fetched up to that point.

MP4 plays almost everywhere. If a clip plays in the browser but not in an older editor, make a converted working copy with a trusted media tool and keep the original unchanged.

Why some board pins do not become MP4 files

Not everything that moves in the feed is a video pin.

• Animated GIFs are saved as .gif files, not converted to MP4. See how to download Pinterest GIFs.
• Image pins come out as image files.
• Pins with only a streaming version. The extension saves a direct MP4 file. When Pinterest does not list one for a pin, there is no playable MP4 to put in the ZIP.
• Removed or unavailable pins. A pin with no media data is skipped, and a file that cannot be fetched is counted under "Failed" on the "ZIP Ready!" screen.

So compare the "Pins" and "Failed" numbers with the clips you expected, not with the board's headline pin count; 0_info.txt carries the same warning. If one important clip is missing, try downloading that pin on its own with the single-video tool.

Copyright still applies to a batch

The convenience of downloading 50 files does not create permission to republish them. Treat the collection as personal reference material unless you made the videos yourself, have verified a license or have approval from the rights holder.

This matters most in commercial work. Internal reference and public reuse are not the same activity: if a clip will appear in an advertisement, a presentation distributed outside your team, a social post or a paid product, clear the rights first. Can you download multiple Pinterest videos at once?

Do not expect it. The extension looks for the 720p MP4 first, falls back to 480p and 360p, and never upscales.

Does this work on a phone?
