How to Print a Pinterest Board (Whole Board) on Mac, Windows & iPhone

Can you print a Pinterest board? Yes, but not from Pinterest itself. A board has no Print or Export button, and the only download option Pinterest documents is "Download image" in a pin's "…" menu, one pin at a time. For a whole board that leaves two routes:

1. Print the board page from your browser. Free, nothing to install, rough result.
2. Download the board's images and turn them into a print-ready PDF with PinBoardSaver's Pinterest board downloader for Chrome.

Method 1: print the board page from your browser

1. Open the board on pinterest.com on a computer and scroll until the pins you need are on the page.
2. Press Ctrl+P (⌘P on a Mac).
3. Pick your printer, or choose "Save as PDF" first to check the result without wasting paper.
4. In Chrome, open "More settings" and lower "Scale" to fit more pins on each sheet.

For a short board this can be enough. The limits:

• Only loaded pins print. Pinterest adds pins as you scroll and keeps only those near your current position, so a long board never prints in full. Zooming out first gets more pins into one pass.
• You are printing thumbnails. The grid shows small preview copies, starting at 236 pixels wide: fine on screen, soft on paper.
• Page breaks ignore the grid. Pins that land on a page boundary are split in two.

Method 2: download the board and create a PDF

PinBoardSaver saves the board's image files to your computer, then lays them out on pages.

1. Install PinBoardSaver from the Chrome extension page, sign in to Pinterest in Chrome and open your board.
2. Click the PinBoardSaver icon in the toolbar. "All Pins" is already ticked.
3. Click "Start Download" and wait for the "ZIP Ready!" screen. It shows how many pins were saved, the archive size and how many failed.
4. Click "Download to Device" to keep the ZIP with the image files.
5. Click "Create PDF". Under "Choose PDF Layout", pick "One per page" or "Collage".
6. For "Collage", set "Columns" (2 to 20, starting at 3) and "Orientation" ("Portrait" or "Landscape"). Tick "Show pin names" for a caption under each image.
7. Click "Create PDF" below the options. The file downloads by itself under the archive's name, for example Dream_home_pinterest_board.pdf.
8. Open the PDF and print it.

The free plan saves 20 pins per download. "Select Pins Manually" lets you choose which 20 instead of taking the first ones, and Premium removes the cap.

Printing the PDF on US Letter paper

The PDF is always A4 (210 × 297 mm), slightly narrower and taller than Letter. In the print dialog choose "Fit to printable area" (Chrome), "Scale to Fit" (Preview on a Mac) or "Fit" (Adobe Acrobat Reader). The page shrinks to about 94% and nothing is cut off.

Alternative: print the files from the ZIP

Unzip the archive and you have ordinary image files that the macOS or Windows print dialog can tile as a contact sheet. The ZIP mirrors the board: pins outside any section sit in the root next to 0_info.txt (board name, board URL, owner, date, pin counts per section), and every section gets its own folder. Files are named {number}_{pin title}_{pin ID}, so a caption such as 12_Oak_sideboard_123456789.jpg leads back to its pin at https://www.pinterest.com/pin/123456789/.

Print quality: how large can you print a pin?

The arithmetic: pixels ÷ dpi = inches (multiply by 2.54 for centimeters). Use 300 dpi for prints people hold in their hands and 150 dpi for a poster seen from a few steps away.

This is why Method 1 looks blurry, and why "Collage" is forgiving: a 62 mm column needs only about 730 pixels at 300 dpi, while a "One per page" image needs about 2,000 pixels of width.

Two things decide how many pixels you have:

• How you picked the pins. "Start Download" saves the original file where Pinterest has one. On the free plan, pins picked with "Select Pins Manually" are saved as medium-size copies: fine for collage columns, limiting for full-page prints. Premium saves originals either way.
• The upload. If the person who posted the pin uploaded a small image, that is all there is, and no tool can add the detail back.

To see a file's pixel dimensions, use "Get Info" in Finder on a Mac or "Properties", then "Details", on Windows.

How to print a Pinterest board on a Mac

• Browser method: press ⌘P in Chrome and set "Destination" to "Save as PDF". In Safari, use the PDF menu of the print dialog.
• PinBoardSaver PDF: print it from Preview with "Scale to Fit" selected.
• Contact sheet from the ZIP: open the images together in Preview, choose File, then Print, and set "Pages per Sheet" in the Layout section to 4, 6, 9 or 16.

How to print a Pinterest board on Windows

• Browser method: press Ctrl+P in Chrome or Edge and choose "Save as PDF" as the printer.
• PinBoardSaver PDF: print it from Edge, Chrome or Acrobat Reader with the fit option on.
• Contact sheet from the ZIP: in File Explorer select the extracted images, right-click and choose "Print" (on Windows 11 it can sit under "Show more options"). In "Print Pictures" pick "Wallet (9)" or "Contact sheet (35)" and untick "Fit picture to frame" so pins are not cropped. The contact sheet also prints each file name, here the pin title and ID.

How to print from Pinterest on an iPhone or iPad

PinBoardSaver is an extension for Chrome on a computer; Chrome on iPhone and iPad does not run extensions. Two things do work:

1. Single pins. In the Pinterest app open the pin, tap "…" and then "Download image". The picture lands in Photos, where Share, then Print, sends it to an AirPrint printer. Pinterest notes that not every pin offers this option; the online Pinterest image downloader is another way to save one pin from its link.
2. A whole board. Create the PDF on a computer with Method 2, send it to the phone with AirDrop, iCloud Drive or email, open it in Files and tap Share, then Print.

On Android, "Download image" saves the picture to your gallery, and you print it from there.

Printing a vision board or mood board

For sheets you will cut up and pin to a cork board, use "Collage" with 3 or 4 columns and print the pages at home on Letter or A4.

For one large poster, use "Export as Image" on the same "ZIP Ready!" screen. Set "Columns" (2 to 20), the format (PNG, JPG or WEBP) and the width ("Social (1080px)", "HD (1920px)", "Print (4000px)" or "Custom"), then click "Create Image" to get the board as one tall picture. At 4,000 pixels wide that is 13.3 in at 300 dpi or 26.7 in at 150 dpi, enough for an 18 × 24 in or 24 × 36 in wall poster. The height follows from the pins, so change "Columns" until the shape is close to your paper's proportions.

Print only selected sections of a board

In the PinBoardSaver panel, untick "All Pins", which clears every box. Tick only the sections you want, or "Not in a section" for pins outside any section, and click "Start Download". "Pins to download" shows the count, and the PDF will contain only those pins.

A printout for your own wall or a private reference sheet stays personal. Selling prints, publishing them or putting them into client deliverables is different: the images belong to the people who made them, and you need their permission or a license. FAQ

Can you print a whole Pinterest board at once?

Not from Pinterest, which has no print or export option for boards, and the browser prints only the pins currently loaded. For the whole board, download it first and create a PDF as in Method 2 (20 pins per download on the free plan).

Why can't I print from Pinterest?

The Pinterest app has no print command, and boards load piece by piece as you scroll. Print from a computer browser, or save the image with "…" and "Download image" and print the saved file.

How do I print just one pin?

Open the pin, choose "…" and "Download image", then print the saved file like any other photo.

How do I print high-quality photos from Pinterest?

Print the downloaded file, never the board page. Divide its width in pixels by 300 to get the largest sharp print in inches. If that is too small, print smaller or look for the image at its original source.
